Can any photo be used?

Will I receive my photos back safely and in the same condition?

All photos will be returned unharmed with your order. Your photos are valuable and we treat them as such.

What is included in a custom kit?

The photo Paint-By-Number kit entitles you to one (1) personalized paint-by-number kit of your photograph. The kit includes: 42 acrylic paints, 2 brushes, numbered outline on art paper or canvas, and a reference sheet of the outline in case you paint over a number.

Can I send a black and white photo?

Yes. Black and white photos will create an antique-like appearance using sepia colors. Your color photos will appear in color.

What is the approximate delivery time?

Delivery time takes approximately 2-3 weeks. We highly recommend ordering early, before the any holiday rush, in order to avoid the possibility of delays. Your order will be shipped to you via US Postal Service, Priority Mail.

Does the size of the photo matter?

Any size photo is acceptable ranging from wallet size to 8"x10". Remember to use the actual print and not a negative, slide, or copyrighted photo.

Does it matter if the photo is horizontal or vertical?

Horizontal and vertical photos are both acceptable.

Will my outline be portrait or landscape orientation?

Unless specified with your order, we will decide the outline orientation based on the photograph you send us.

Can you omit subjects from the photo I send?

Yes. Please include any special instructions such as eliminating a subject. We will work to accommodate your needs. Otherwise, we will use our best judgment.

My paint-by-number outline and the blue paint does not match the blue in the photograph. What should I do?

We individually color match each photograph to the 42 color paint set. In some cases, the color in your photo will not perfectly match to a color in the paint set. We color match to the closest color in the paint palette. Also, we provide you with the entire 42 paint palette so you can mix and match the paints to find your perfect match. Keep in mind, this is a work of art . . . have fun with it!

What is the difference between textured art paper and canvas?

The textured art paper is a 140lb, medium-weight watercolor paper with a canvas-like texture. The canvas is a genuine artist canvas cut to your specific size. Both produce similar results, however many customers prefer to paint on canvas because it gives the painting a glossy appearance and it does not require glass when framed.
